St Pancras Group gathers widespread support
2011-02-25 14:32:41
Since the launch of the St Pancras Group in Summer 2010 in response to the call for ideas about the future of Building Regulations by Andrew Stunnell MP, this group of building sustainability experts has continued to gain in high level support for its campaign for a new approach to sustainable building legislation in the UK. The St Pancras Group propose that there should be a radical simplification of standards, codes and targets, with a focus on proven measures that actually deliver real environmental improvement in reality, and an emphasis on learning in all parts of the process of procurement, supply and building use. Recent support for the St Pancras Group has come from Lynne Sullivan OBE, Paul Everall (CEO of LABC), and members of the Zero Carbon Hub. This group is now putting together a formal proposal to CLG for its new approach.
